INTRODUCTION & HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:

Eco Clubs play an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation. Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies establishes Tecnia Eco-Club under the aegis of Department of Environment, Government of NCT of Delhi. has been dispensed accountable for edifying the overall Environmental Quality in Delhi NCR which has also been entrusted with the overall environmental assessment, monitoring, protection and awareness among the people of Delhi; Multi- facets methods is being espoused by the Department for Promotion, Conservation and Preservation of Environment and various eco-friendly activities. The Tecnia Eco Club raised National Green Corps through the affiliate Nodal Agency i.e. Department of Environment, Govt. of NCT Delhi which provides a token grant of ₹ 20,000 for providing eco sensitization among the students keeping in view the potential of this programme. The TECNIA ECO – CLUB envisages that a group of people who are interested in doing something for the environment can achieve much more than an individual one.

Certificate Green Champion Awards

Groups promote discussion, which can lead to innovative and exciting ideas. Working in a club is also much more fun and is a good way to make friends. The ECO – CLUB was formed to enable you to do something positive about the environment and there are interesting and exciting activities that can be generated around the topic “Our Environment”. The main objectives of this club is to educate students about their immediate environment and impart knowledge about the eco-systems, their inter-dependence and their need for survival, through visits and demonstrations and to mobilize youngsters by instilling in them the spirit of scientific inquiry into environmental problems and involving them in the efforts of environmental preservation.
