National Scholarship Portal (NSP) / Merit-Cum-Means (MCM) / Economically Weaker Section (EWS)

Ensure timely disbursement of Scholarships through the Simplified process to students, All information is available under one umbrella on a common portal of Scholarships schemes of Central and State Governments, through a transparent database of scholars, avoiding duplication. Single integrated application for all scholarships with Direct Benefit Transfer.

VISION

  1. National Scholarships Portal (NSP) is a one-stop solution through which various services starting from student application, application receipt, processing, sanction, and disbursal of various scholarships to Students are enabled.
  2. This initiative aims at providing a Simplified, Mission-oriented, Accountable, Responsive & Transparent ‘SMART’ System for faster & effective disposal of Scholarships applications and delivery of funds directly into beneficiaries account without any leakages.

MISSION

  1. The Mission Mode Project (MMP) of the National Scholarships Portal under the National e-Governance Plan aims to provide a common electronic portal for implementing various Scholarship schemes launched by the Union Government, and State Government across the country.

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES

GGSIP University through directorate of Students welfare provides financial assistance to the students under economically weaker section (EWS) scheme. This scheme is to grant financial assistance to the needy students of the University belonging to the EWS of the society. The purpose of the scheme is to enhance the accessibility of students belonging to Economically Weaker Section of the Society in the higher education. The University has evolved an objective and transparent mechanism to assess the eligibility of the students for this scheme.
