INTRODUCTION

ANUGOONJ is the annual cultural festival of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. It is a 03 day event that showcases the talents of students from all Institutes of GGSIP University, which attract and attracts thousands of visitors from all over Delhi-NCR.

The festival features a wide range of events, including:

  1. Music: Singing competitions, band competitions, DJ nights, and live performances by popular artists
  2. Dance: Solo and group dance competitions, Bollywood dance, classical dance, and folk dance
  3. Literary: Poetry recitation, short story writing, and debate competitions
  4. Drama: One-act plays, street plays, and improvisational comedy.
  5. Fine Arts Painting, sculpture, photography, and calligraphy competitions
  6. Other Events: Fashion shows, quiz competitions, gaming competitions, and food stalls

In addition to the events, ANUGOONJ also features a number of other attractions, such as a carnival, a flea market, and a cultural village. The festival is organized by the university's cultural council, and is supported by the university administration, as well as by a number of sponsors. ANUGOONJ is a much-awaited event by students and faculty alike, and is a celebration of the university's diverse culture and talent. It is also a great opportunity for students to showcase their skills and talents, and to network with other students.

It should be an event that promotes cultural diversity and understanding, and that celebrates the unique talents of the TIAS community.

The festival should also be a platform for students to showcase their skills and talents to a wider audience. This will help them to develop their confidence and to gain experience in the performing arts. ANUGOONJ should also be a festival that is inclusive and accessible to all students. The festival should offer a variety of events and activities that appeal to students from all backgrounds and interests.

MEDIA EVENT​

1. PHOTOGRAPHY
  1. Participation is open for all.
  2. Each and every type of camera is allowed such as phone camera, digital camera, DSLR and SLR.
  3. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  4. No personal watermarks will be accepted.
  5. Your clicks should not be offensive, obscene or derogatory.
  6. Editing is strictly prohibited.
  7. Every photo is to be printed on A4 size pages.
  8. The Judge’s decision shall be final.
  9. In case of not following any rule, the participants will be disqualified on the spot.
  10. Individual entry only.
  11. Use of any camera app is strictly prohibited, only use your phone’s stock camera.
2. AD-MAD SHOW
  1. Minimum 2-5 participants.
  2. Phones are not allowed during preparations.
  3. All the participants of a team must be of the same college.
  4. Topic will be provided on the spot.
  5. 1- Minute time will be allotted for preparations and 1-2 minutes for the act.
  6. Participants must arrange their props themselves.
  7. Judgment will be based on how the team presents the ad by expressing the punch line/ jingle/ slogan.
  8. No extra time will be provided to participants.
  9. Disqualification is possible if found cheating.
  10. Judge’s verdict would be the last and the final judgment, therefore, be careful with your write-ups.
  11. The participants will get participation certificates and the winners will be notified soon by the info details given by them.

CREATIVE EVENT​

1. RANGOLI MAKING
  1. Please bear in mind that your Rangoli art should not offend the viewers and is presentable to viewers of all ages.
  2. Participants need to bring all the required materials for their Rangoli. (EXCEPT RANGOLI STENSILS).
  3. Rangoli should be prepared for the space that is provided. No part of the Rangoli can be pre-made before arriving at the competition.
  4. Viewer’s votes and judge’s opinion combined will determine the winners.
  5. Multiple entries by one person are not allowed.
  6. Participants can use only the coolers used in the flag of pride (as per our Fest theme) and black for the outline.
  7. Using cell phones, electronic devices, or any kind of material to see the drawing will not be allowed.
  8. In case of any additions to the rules and regulations or any changes, Organizers will contact the lead participants either by email or contact number.
  9. Participants can participate individually or in Duet.
2. CREATIVE WRITING
  1. Topic will be given on the spot.
  2. Only Individual entries are allowed.
  3. Participants will be given the time of 1hr only with a word limit of 1000 words only.
  4. Sheets will be provided by the organizers only.
  5. Judgment will be done on the basis of the angle of the topic, your language, idea mapping, writing skills, and expression.
  6. If cheating is found then the participant would be disqualified.
3. POETRY RECITATION
  1. The poem to be performed must be self-written.
  2. Poem can be in either language, Hindi or English.
  3. Maximum time limit for the poem recitation is 5 minutes. Excess time consumption would lead to negative marking.
  4. Participant must submit their poem for selection. Selected poems cannot be changed without prior notice and further selection.
  5. Only shortlisted poems will be allowed to be performed on the Event Day.
  6. Participants will get confirmation of selection either by call or mail itself.
  7. Participants have to confirm their presence by registering themselves on the main day.

STAGE EVENT​

1. NUKKAD NATAK
  1. Time limit should be 15-20 minutes.
  2. Play can be in any language either Hindi or English.
  3. The Maximum number of participants in each team is 22 and the minimum is 18.
  4. Play should revolve around social causes or convey any social message.
  5. No offensive language, or slang is allowed.
  6. Each member of a team should perform in the act.
  7. Judgment will be based on timing, usage of space, dialogue delivery, expressions, and connection with the audience.
  8. Participants have to bring their own props. Use of any electronic gadget, fire, smoke machine, lights, mikes, or any other bulky props is not allowed.
  9. First come, first serve (limited seats)
2. SOLO DANCE
  1. Time limit: 2-3 minutes.
  2. Participants should submit their song CD or pen drive to the event coordinators one hour before the event for sound check.
  3. Negative marking on exceeding the time limit.
  4. Individual should bring their own props, costumes, and make-up.
  5. Judgment will be based on costumes, expressions, and choreography.
  6. Participants are advised to avoid indecent songs or costumes for the performance; otherwise, they may be disqualified from the event.
3. GROUP DANCE
  1. The team should be of 6-12 members.
  2. Time limit: 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. All the participants of a team must be from the same college.
  4. Teams should submit their song CD to the event coordinators one hour before the event.
  5. Negative marking on exceeding the time limit.
  6. Teams should bring their own props, costumes, and make-up.
  7. Judgment will be based on coordination, costumes, expressions and choreography.
  8. Participants are advised not to choose indecent songs or costumes for the performance; otherwise, they may be disqualified from the event.
  9. Choice of songs is open to the participants.
  10. Each group must register at the location 1 hour before the competition starts.
  11. Decisions of the judges will be final.
4. SOLO SINGING
  1. Duration of the performance shall be between 3-4 minutes.
  2. Language is not a bar in the selection of songs for participants.
  3. Participants will have to submit their CD karaoke in advance.
  4. Two instrumentalists can accompany a vocalist.
  5. Judgment will be made on the basis of song selection, voice quality, range/pitch Rhythm/tempo, and overall impression.
5. FASHION PARADE
  1. All the participants of a team must be of the same college.
  2. Minimum 10 to maximum 16 participants should be there per team. In addition, if required there should be one person in charge of music and one for the lights.
  3. On-stage time for each team is limited to a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 15 minutes.
  4. The stage should not remain empty for more than a minute in between the sequence.
  5. Judgment will be based on presentation, walk, dressing, and attitude.
  6. Music system will be provided. The teams are expected to bring their own piece of music for the sequence.
  7. All clothes and accessories are to be arranged for by the participating team. The organizing committee is responsible only for the infrastructural facilities.
  8. Any form of obscenity will result in disqualification of the team from further participation.
  9. Any fault with the track is not our responsibility.
6. MR. AND MS. VARCHASVA
  1. There will be one girl for Ms. Varchasva and one boy for Mr. Varchasva
  2. There will be 3 rounds.
  3. The First round will be of 2 minutes in which each participant should give his or her introduction along with a ramp walk.
  4. The contestant would be given marks on the basis of costume, intro, and secondly, a unique way to introduce himself/ herself.
  5. In the second round each contestant has to showcase their talent, a maximum of 1 minute.
  6. There will be elimination after the second round.
  7. The Third round will be the question – question and answer round.
