SUMMER INTERNSHIP
A. Minor Projects:
BA(JMC) RP 160 – MINI PROJECT – I
BA(JMC) RP 260 – MINI PROJECT – II
The Minor Projects shall be undertaken at respective Institutions, as per the guidelines approved by the Programme Coordination Committee, well in time, before commencement of the semester.
B. Summer Internship / Major Project / Dissertation
SUMMER TRAINING REPORT – I – BA(JMC)-SI-257
SUMMER TRAINING REPORT – II – BA(JMC)-SI-359
- Summer Training Reports (STR): At the end of the Second Semester and Fourth Semester, every student shall undergo Summer Training for a minimum period of 06 Weeks in any Industry/Research/ Academic Institutions. After completion of training, they would be required to submit the Summer Training Reports (STR) in the subsequent semester. Evaluation / Viva Voice of STR-I shall be undertaken during 03rd Semester and STR-II shall be undertaken during 05th Semester, as per the schedule notified by the University.
MAJOR RESEARCH PROJECT – I – BAJMC-RP-358
- Major Project-I: Major Project-I shall start from the beginning of the sixth semester of BA(JMC) Programme and shall be undertaken in any contemporary area of study related to the Journalism and Mass Media Industry to apply the overall learning of the last 05 semesters.
MAJOR RESEARCH PROJECT – II – BAJMC-RP-452
- Major Project-II: Major Project-II shall start from the beginning of the eighth semester of BA(JMC) (Honours) Programme and shall be undertaken in any Industry / Research / Academic Institutions, in any contemporary area of study related to the Journalism and Mass Media Industry, to apply the overall learning of the last 07 semesters.
BA(JMC) – RP-456 – DISSERTATION
Dissertation: Dissertation work shall be research based and shall start from the beginning of the eighth semester of BA(JMC) (Honours) Programme and shall be undertaken in any Industry/Research/Academic Institutions, in any contemporary area of study related to the Journalism and Mass Media Industry, to apply the overall learning of the last 07 semesters and shall have at-least one quality publication. The parameters of quality publication will be assessed by the Academic Programme Committee (APC) of the concerned. Institutions, as per the guidelines issued by the Programme Coordination Committee.

BAJMC 255 – Summer Training Report
Summer Training Report: Soon after the Second Semester End-Term Examination, students will undergo Summer training/ internship in Media and Entertainment Organisation for a period of four weeks and will submit a Summer Training Report (STR) along with multi- media Presentation incorporating the work done during the training/ internship.
The hard and soft copy of the STR (in duplicate) is to be submitted along with a soft copy of multi-media Presentation at least 4 weeks before the commencement of End Term Examination of the Third semester.
Summer Training Reports will be evaluated by the Board of Examiners comprising of Internal Examiner and External Examiner separately out of 50 marks each. The External Examiner will be appointed by the Competent Authority.
BAJMC 357 – Functional Exposure Report
Functional Exposure Report: Soon after the Fourth Semester End Term Examination, each student will undergo a Functional Exposure Training for a period of four weeks in Radio/ Television/Advertising /Public Relations/New Media/NGO and submit a Functional Exposure Report [FER] along with the multi-media presentation on actual experiential learning. The hard and soft copy of the FER (in duplicate) along with a copy of the multi-media presentation is to be submitted at least four weeks before the commencement of End Term Examination of the Fifth Semester.
The Functional Exposure Report [FER] carries 100 marks. These reports will be evaluated out of 50 marks each by a Board of Examiners comprising Director / Principal or his / her nominee and one External Examiner to be appointed by the Competent Authority.

Major / Minor Project
