Vision

National Scholarships Portal is one-stop solution through which various services starting from student application, application receipt, processing, sanction and disbursal of various scholarships to Students are enabled. This initiative aims at providing a Simplified, Mission-oriented, Accountable, Responsive & Transparent ‘SMART’ System for faster & effective disposal of Scholarships applications and delivery of funds directly into beneficiaries account without any leakages.

Mission

The Mission Mode Project (MMP) of National Scholarships Portal under the National e-Governance Plan aims at providing common electronic portal for implementing various Scholarships schemes launched by Union Government, State Government and Union Territories across the country

Objectives

1. Ensure timely disbursement of Scholarships to students
2. Provide a common portal for various Scholarships schemes of Central and State Governments
3. Create a transparent database of scholars
4. Avoid duplication in processing
5. Harmonisation of different Scholarships schemes & norms

E-District is a comprehensive and web-enabled service portal through which citizens can access various services provided by the Government. It provides end-to-end integrated solution to various services availed through this portal. By using E-District platform, you can avail various services of the Government at the click of the button. E-District also provides for online verification of various certificates issued by multiple Department

E-District also aims to link the databases of all the Government departments to provide online verification of documents submitted by citizens. The documents of the user will be permanently stored in this database and can be accessed by him in case he avails multiple services from the Government. E-District envisions to reduce duplicity at every level in Government thereby improving operational efficiency of the entire system. Our ultimate objective is to maximize citizen comfort, enhance operational efficiency, improve quality standard & provide time bound and hassle free services to the citizens.

e-District Delhi Portal through e-Governance Society, Information Technology Department, of Govt. of NCT of Delhi provides various schemes for students scholarship:-

1. Merit Scholarship for students belonging to Minority studying in professional/technical colleges, Institutions/Universities
2. Mukhyamantri COVID-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojna-One time ex-gratia payment.

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES

The Directorate of Students Welfare was established to provide opportunities and adequate amenities for all round development of personality and leadership qualities among students.

GGSIP University through directorate of Students welfare provides financial assistance to the students under economically weaker section (EWS) scheme. This scheme is to grant financial assistance to the needy students of the University belonging to the EWS of the society. The purpose of the scheme is to enhance the accessibility of students belonging to Economically Weaker Section of the Society in the higher education. The University has evolved an objective and transparent mechanism to assess the eligibility of the students for this scheme.

Activities of DSW

1. Financial Assistance to the students of the University belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of the society
2. Financial assistance to the meritorious and needy students of the University pursuing Higher Education under the scheme of Merit-cum-Means linked financial scheme of Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
3. Travel Grant- The Scheme is for providing financial assistance i.e. reimbursement of travelling expenses (travel with India or International Travel), Visa Fees, Registration Fees, Per Diem Allowance
4. Seminar Grant to the affiliated institutes of the University
5. Cultural Fest – Annual Cultural Fest Anugoonj is organized every year in the Month of February
6. Sports Meet- Annual Inter Collegiate Sports Meet (For all Affiliated Institutes and USS) is organized in the month of October every year
7. Association of Indian Universities (AIU)- Participation of the University Teams in various University levels tournaments organized by AIU every year
