LTG6: Adopting eLearning solution

During pandemic, the adoption of online learning delivery curtails the spread of the contagion (COVID-19). Moreover, online learning ensures the continuity of education as an emergency situation causes the closure of campuses and learning centers. During the nation-wide lockdown, remote learning and teaching through online media have been adopted by the Tecnia Institute of Advanced studies and the online lasses were conducted by the faculty members using Zoom-Video telephony software program; Go to Meeting-web conferencing software; Google Meet – communication service; Webex-web conferencing; Microsoft Teams -business communication, Institute’s own TIAS ERP https://erp.tecnia.in/, https://tiaspg.tecnia.in/ portal use of such online teaching tools helps in execution during exigencies to show that the Institute emphasized on the implementation of e-learning solutions to enhance e-learning delivery during pandemic. To augment technology based learning for providing skill sets and encouraging self- learning.

LTG7: Digital Learning and Interactive Learning Session

The Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies have classrooms fitted with ICT tools like Wi-Fi internet, Projectors and Computers which enhance the Digital learning with e-content and multimedia. The pedagogy used is classroom teaching is based on learner centric environment. Interactive learning activities like group discussion, debate, elocution and quizzes are incorporated in classroom teaching. These activities not only improve decision-making through practice but also increase motivation in learners. Also, these kinds of activities enhance learning efficiency of the students.

Adopting blended learning and flipped classroom pedagogy to maximize student learning outcome in Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies, Blended learning helps learner through Inquiry-Based Learning; Project-Based Learning; Collaborative Work; Teacher-Assisted Learning; flipped class keeps students learning at the center of teaching. The students are given the study material also through Tecnia TV before the scheduled class so that the time in classroom can be efficiently utilized for blended learning and the top levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy like Analyze, Evaluate and Create must be touched in the classroom. Flipped classroom curriculum changes the attitude, knowledge, skills and behaviour of students.

LTG8: Encourage Self-Learning Techniques

Besides the Blended learning the Institute inculcates the attitude of self-learning among students as it helps in developing your skill levels and enriching your experiences through practical applications. The Institute practice Project Based Learning in order to develop the problem-solving skills and encourage self-learning techniques

LTG9: To collaborate with foreign and National Institutions. Collaborate with UGC recognized universities and institutions

Until now joint degrees and dual degree programs were not permitted under existing Indian regulations. With these new regulations, UGC has created an arrangement where Indian universities meet certain criteria will be able to develop and enter partnerships which would lead to the award of qualifications under these collaboration arrangements.

The Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies relentlessly encourage students to enrolled in programs under these arrangements to complete at least certain percentage of the course credits at the collaborating foreign partner university. During these course credits students will be required to complete credits in the foreign university in “conventional mode” meaning delivery through online or open distance learning would not be recognized.

In view to fulfill the objective of the initiative, we are creating a club called “EBSB Club” with an objective:-

  1. To celebrate the Unity in Diversity of our Nation and to maintain and strengthen emotional bonds between the people of our Country;
  2. To promote the spirit of national integration through a deep and structured engagement between all Indian States and Union Territories
  3. To showcase the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of other State for enabling people to understand and appreciate the diversity of India, thus fostering a sense of common identity.
  4. To establish long-term engagements with all Indian States.
  5. To create an environment which promotes learning by sharing best practices and experiences.
LTG11: To strengthen Research & Development
  1. To obtain funds from funding agencies for setting up R & D centers.
  2. To clearly focus publishing articles which are indexed in Scopus & Web of Science and other journals of reputed nature.
  3. To file patents continuously.
LTG12: To undertake patents work regularly

The Research and Development policy of the Tecnia Institute emphasize on filing national and international patents prior to publishing research articles. The Institute’s Faculty members involve their students in developing their research prototypes and models and it is always kept in mind that research should be novel, should have inventive step, should be capable of Industrial application and it should not attract the provisions of section 3 and 4 of the Patents Act 1970. The Research Committee of the Institute verifies every research patent or article prior to its submission.

LTG13: To clearly focus publishing articles in UGC Care List, SCOPUS, Web of Science and ICI Journals of repute

The Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies follows its Research and Development Policy which clearly focus on publishing articles in UGC Care listed Journals, SCOPUS listed Journals, Web of Science listed Journals and ICI Journals. The faculty members of the Institute have keen interest in research. As per policy every Faculty member involve the students of their department in the research projects. Every year the Institute’s each Faculty members publish research articles in reputed journals. In order to promote the multidisciplinary research, the faculty members of different Departments are encouraged to work together in a group. The faculty members are also doing Consultancy Projects sponsored by the various Industries situated in Delhi-NCR. The Institute’s goal is to increase the number of research publications especially in emerging technologies like Internet of Things, AR & VR, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Processing, Big Data, etc.

LTG14: Collaboration with UGC recognized universities of raputed for research activities.

The Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies intend to transform from single campus institution to large multidisciplinary university or autonomous degree-awarding HEI. In order to achieve the goal the Institute is continuously strengthening its infrastructure necessary for multidisciplinary education and research. The Institute has also increased the academic collaboration with other institutions through HEI clusters, leading to multidisciplinary education and research in different modes. The Tecnia Institute has goals related to adding new departments in subjects such as: Languages, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Indology, Art, Dance, Theatre, Applied Sciences, Sociology, Economics, Sports and other subjects as needed for a multidisciplinary institution.

LTG15: FDPs, workshops, seminar with UGC recognized universities/institutes

The faculty members continuously update their knowledge by attending FDPs, training sessions, conferences, seminars and STTPs etc. conducted by reputed organizations. The active participation of faculty members in the research activities enables them to maintain a regular interaction with the experts from the industries as well as the academicians. The knowledge acquired by teachers is transferred to students by conducting regular co-curricular activities, wherein students are encouraged to present their research work and projects completed under the mentorship of their teachers. This enables our students to grab a good placement opportunity or to continue their higher education in their selected area of research.
