The Culture is to be a dynamic, challenging and independent force based on the freedom of expression. Everyone is to have the opportunity to participate in cultural life. Creativity, diversity and artistic quality are to be integral parts of society’s development.

Cultural activities are an integral part of students’ school/college life. Cultural activities have been given a lot of importance and encouragement to many co-curricular and extra-curricular activities believing in the maxim “A healthy body horses a healthy mind”. It is heartening to see that the students utilize these facilities regularly. Students participate in the cultural activities for the wide variety of reasons: for enjoyment and entertainment, for personal growth and development, as a means of expression, to learn new skills, to meet new people and to pass on the cultural traditions.

Tecnia has the rich heritage of nurturing, nourishing and showcasing talents in the fields of cultural, literary and fine arts. Cultural activities in Tecnia play a vital role in the preservation, promotion and dissemination of art and culture. The aim of the Department is to develop ways and means by which the basic cultural and aesthetic values and perceptions remain active and dynamic among the people. It also undertakes programmes of preservation, encouragement and dissemination of various manifestations of contemporary creativity. The Department is a nodal agency for commemoration significant events and celebrating centenaries of great persons.

The Cultural society is run by student culture leaders with the guidance and support of staff advisers drawn from the department and colleges and under the overall control of Cultural Head.

We emphasize growth as whole persons comprising the body and soul, heart and conscience, mind and will, rather than the intellect alone. Sports and Cultural activities provide and excellent medium to come together.
